All text and images posted in our “Get Involved” section of the website are “pre-moderated”.  This means that we check the posting meets our House Rules before approving it and it goes “live” on the website or App.

Infinite Scotland is moderated daily, so your images and text about flora, fauna, history, culture or places in Scotland will appear on the website within 24 hours of submitting it.
Submissions to the Infinite Scotland website are checked by a team of trained moderators to make website a safe and enjoyable place to be, and ensure that they meet the House Rules, do not infringe copyright or contravene any point in our Terms and Conditions or Privacy Policies.

House Rules

We’ve established the following House Rules so that everyone can get the most out of the Infinite Scotland website.

Please note that these rules apply to text as well as images.

Names attached to postings may be failed if they…
o    Contain website or email addresses
o    Contain contact information (i.e. phone numbers, postcodes etc)
o    Appear to impersonate someone else
o    Contain swear words or are otherwise objectionable
We reserve the right to fail comments which…
o    Are considered likely to disrupt, provoke, attack or offend others
o    Are racist, sexist, homophobic, sexually explicit, abusive or otherwise objectionable
o    Contain swear words or other language likely to offend
o    Break the law or condone or encourage unlawful activity. This includes breach of copyright, defamation and contempt of court.
o    Advertise products or services for profit or gain
o    Are seen to impersonate someone else
o    Include contact details such as phone numbers, postal or email addresses
o    Are written in anything other than English – Welsh and Gaelic may be used where expressly stated
o    Contain links to other websites which are not connected to the natural or cultural heritage or diversity of Scotland
o    Describe or encourage activities which could endanger the safety or well-being of others
o    Are considered to be “spam”, that is posts containing the same, or similar, content posted multiple times
o    Are considered to be off-topic

Infinite Scotland welcomes feedback, both positive and negative, about our website, but please make sure your comments are in line with the above House Rules. Repeatedly posting personal or offensive images or comments about individual members of the public or people who work for Infinite Scotland may be considered harassment. We reserve the right to remove such posts and take action against those responsible.
